Can I use it with underfloor heating?

Engineered wood flooring can in fact be installed on top of underfloor heating, although it is definitely preferable for it to installed over water underfloor heating, also known as wet or hydronic underfloor heating.

When installing on underfloor heating we have a few guidelines for you to follow in order to ensure a smooth and simple fitting:

Use the floating floor fitting method

Before installing the floor, the heating needs to have been running for a minimum of two weeks and then must be then turned off for forty-eight hours prior to installation to an ambient temperature

Check for any water leaks or other issues with the heating system to prevent damage to your floor and home

For concrete subfloors you will need to make sure the floor is dry. This means that once the heating is off and the floor is cool that there is no more than four percent moisture in the concrete

Before laying the floor, it is essential that you always use an underlay, especially one that incorporates a damp proof membrane. There are a wide range of underlays that could suit your needs including cushioning and acoustic options.

The maximum temperature for the subfloor should not go above twenty-seven degrees Celsius
